I’ve never been a fan of breakfast – unless it’s a proper breakfast like a fry up or pancakes with all the trimmings. But who has time for that on a busy weekday? I started having smoothies for my breakfast over a year ago and I love it! It’s so simple and quick and keeps you going until lunchtime – if you put the right things in it. I’ve found that lots of smoothie recipes include expensive ingredients like maca or acai, which make you feel great, but are not so great for your bank balance. There was one point last year when I was using a punnet of blueberries a day for breakfast, which got way too expensive. This smoothie is my fav at the moment as it’s reasonably cheap to make and has enough in it to give you energy until lunch.
